WORDS: four hundred

NOTES: sorry for the rambling at the beginning
| [atrb=border,0,true] diana moved along with the music, losing herself completely. by no means did she need the money from this job but she enjoyed it. she wore skimpier clothing to the beach and had never slept with a customer, at least they weren't customers at first. a girl couldn't mix business with pleasure, and these men meant business. they wanted a girl that they could touch but not have and diana was content with being that girl. she never let them touch too much though, having a guy grab your ass an okay thing but she never denied them anything else. anyways, she continued dancing till the song came to a close. by them she was only covering the top half of her body with her hair. she exited the stage and quickly slipped into her sweater. it was her last performance of the night so she quickly removed the stage makeup, leaving her face clean for once. she loved wearing it but her face needed a break every now and then. she slipped into the clothes she had come into and waiting for the remaining men to leave before she left. diana didn't like being bothered by random men after work. she loved people but those men creeped her out sometimes. depending on who they were off course.
it was three in the morning but for diana, the day was barely starting. she made her way to the bar that was a block away from the club and was quick to go inside. even though it was three in the morning, the sports bar was full of people. some were lounging on the bar stools while others were playing pool. a usual hangout for boys but also for diana. she might have been a girly girl and was one to enjoy beauty rest but she also loved pool. ronnie, her actual father, had brought her here for her fifteenth birthday and had taught her to play pool. it was the coolest thing she had ever done with him though she was scolded by her "parents" when they found out. they thought their son was irresponsible for taking her to a sports bar and while they were right, diana still loved this place. she waved at the bartender and took a seat in the stool. she didn't see anyone she talked to so she settled for ordering a beer and waited for her night to begin.

Dallas sighed as his alarm clock went off. He honestly couldn’t believe he had slept the whole day. He sure as hell was happy he set his alarm as a reminder when he got home the night before hand. He had gotten slammed at the bar. Dallas groaned as he moved to his legs then dangled off the side of the bed. He had to get moving, he had places to go and people to see. Dallas took another look at the clock before getting up and started to get dressed.
Dallas made good money at the bar, not enough to make up for the money he lost in being disowned but enough to afford to eat and his own apartment, regardless as to how shitty of a place it was. It was a big adjustment for him but he made do with it, it was better than living with his family and wearing a fake smile all the time. He’s happier now than he ever thought he could be, which most people find hard to believe because his old life seemed so perfect. He was popular, a star athlete, school came easy to him, and he was rich. Turns out those things aren’t always as great as they seem. Besides he had his own way of making extra cash, he wasn’t proud of it but it was easy money and he was good at intimidating people as well as drawing them in and getting them to trust him. Dallas took another look at the clock then grabbed his bag and made way for the door, ready to do his runs for the week.
Dallas’ deals always went smoothly. Either pay or you don’t get your stuff, simple as that. Clean and simple. And he never, ever had someone skip out on him. That was until tonight. It was Dallas’ last run of the night and the kid ditched him. He was pissed, he had waited around for an hour and a half waiting for him. Dallas took a deep sigh as he started walking down the street. He doubted the kid would show his face anytime soon and Dallas wasn’t planning on sticking around. He was ready to honestly just go home but instead he found himself walking into the sports bar. He remembered coming in here back in high school with the guys and playing pool until they got kicked out, they still kept going though. The place wasn’t as busy as it use to be but Dallas didn’t really take time to evaluate who was all there, none of them were the kid and that’s all he really cared too much about. He sighed and made his way over to the bar. “Hey bud hit me up with something, the stronger the better…” He said before putting his face between his face. Lifting it when he heard the drink placed in front of him. He gave a slight smile as he saw who was working. ‘Rough night?’ the bartender asked, he was one of his buyers. “Little bit, have you seen Danny? Second week in a row he skipped out on me. If he wants the damn stuff he might actually want to show up to get it at some point.” The bartender just laugh and shook his head.
Dallas shook his head to and looked down at his drink as he swirled it around in its cup, before finally taking a hit. Damn, what was he drinking? He took a final swig of it before pushing it away. He took this time to take inventory of the place. He didn’t really know too many of the people there, probably some of the college kids he guessed. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a girl down at the other end of the bar, also alone. Something about her seemed familiar, he had seen her before. Long, long ago…maybe he was imagining it. Still he got up and walked down towards her. “Is this seat taken?” He asked motioning to the empty bar stool beside her.
